The deck is cored with closed cell PVC cross linked foam for rigidity and insulation. The hull to deck joint is both mechanically fastened and epoxy sealed. The entire joint is covered with a strong, impact-resistant rub rail, with a stainless steel insert. All electrical, plumbing and propulsion system are engineered to the strictest marine guidelines. Electrical wiring is to ABYC codes, and all underwater fittings are bonded for protection. Marine grade seacocks are used throughout the Voyager with double hose clamps. The Aquamet 22 propeller shafts have massive custom V struts to prevent damage. The 5 blade propellers are also protected by the skeg keel. Shannon's custom capabilities also apply to all system installations. Electric systems can include dockside power and a generator to power reverse cycle air conditioning/heaters, stoves, refrigerators, desalinators, etc. Alternatively, all 12VDC systems incorporating large banks of gel cell batteries, oversized alternators, solar panels, and holdover refrigeration have been included on several Voyagers.Shannon's knowledgeable building team discuss with all owners their specific systems requirements to ensure that every Voyager provides total satisfaction. Access to systems for repair and maintenance is a Shannon specialty. The Voyager 45 uses only proven state-of-the-art composite technology for strength and long-term durability.
